A man was left with serious injuries after an unprovoked attack at Stafford railway station on the Bank Holiday Sunday evening, and police are now appealing for help identifying two men caught on camera.
The victim, who was on a day out with his family, had gone to use the toilet at the station at around 10pm when two men made comments towards him before repeatedly punching him. He fell, hit his head and lost consciousness.
The attackers left in the direction of the town centre before paramedics arrived. Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) said the victim was found with a large cut to his head, as well as bruising and swelling to his face. He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.
