Ever wondered what Gnosall looks like from the top of St Lawrence Church?

The bell tower at St Lawrence Church will be open to climb on Heritage Open Day on Saturday 12th September, giving visitors a rare chance to take in the view from one of the village's most recognisable landmarks. No booking is needed - just turn up on the day.

The tower will be open from 11am to 4pm. Entry costs £5 for adults and £2.50 for children, with all proceeds going towards the upkeep and refurbishment of the church building. Refreshments will also be available inside the church.

What you need to know before you go

  • Children must be aged 8 or over and accompanied by an adult
  • The climb is not suitable for anyone with knee or heart problems, or a fear of heights

About St Lawrence Church

St Lawrence is a Grade I listed Anglican church with roots stretching back to the Norman period. The upper part of the tower itself was built in the 15th century, making this a rare opportunity to step inside a piece of living history right on our doorstep.
