The strike by resident doctors, which was due to begin at 7am on Monday 15 June, has been called off after the Government made a last-minute offer that will now be put to BMA members for a vote.
What this means for patients
Most appointments and procedures at University Hospitals of North Midlands (UHNM) - which runs Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in Stafford - will go ahead as planned. If your appointment has been affected, the hospital will contact you directly. There is no need to call them unless you have been asked to do so.
Some services may still see minor disruption while the hospital restores activity that had been scaled back in preparation for the strike. UHNM has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
