Gnosall Fire Station has raised £734.53 for The Fire Fighters Charity after locals turned out in force for a sponsored car wash at the station.

The fundraising event saw crews roll up their sleeves to wash vehicles of all shapes and sizes, from muddy family SUVs to polished weekend cars, with every penny donated going to a worthy cause.

Who benefits?

The Fire Fighters Charity supports injured and recovering fire service personnel and their families during some of the most difficult times of their lives.

The team at Gnosall Fire Station said they were overwhelmed by the generosity shown by the local community and thanked everyone who came along and donated.

Here's what the team said on Facebook:

WHAT A TURNOUT! £734.53 RAISED!

A massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who swung by the station today for our charity car wash! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we managed to raise a whopping £734.53 for The Fire Fighters Charity!

From muddy family SUVs to gleaming weekend rides, the team worked hard to get you all sparkling, and you didn't disappoint with your donations. Every single penny goes towards supporting injured and recuperating fire service personnel and their families when they need it most.

We had an absolute blast, got thoroughly soaked, and couldn't be prouder of our local community. You lot are amazing!
