The old Cardiac Science Powerheart G3 defibrillator at Gnosall Memorial Village Hall has been replaced with a new iPAD SP1 device, paid for through donations from local residents.
Why the iPAD SP1?
The new unit is designed to be straightforward for anyone to use, even without training. Rather than requiring separate pads for children and adults, it uses a single set of electrodes with a simple switch to toggle between modes. It also features voice prompts that automatically get louder in noisy environments, and illuminated CPR guidance to help bystanders keep the correct compression rhythm.
Compared to the outgoing G3, the iPAD SP1 also offers a longer battery life of up to five years and electrode pads that last up to three years before needing replacement.
Thank you
Gnosall First Responders have thanked everyone who contributed donations to make the upgrade possible. The new device is now in place and ready to use at the Memorial Village Hall.
