Old hospital letters sent in error after system upgrade

If you've received an unexpected letter from UHNM recently, don't panic — it may have been sent by mistake following a technical glitch.

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM) has confirmed that a technical error, following a routine system upgrade last weekend, caused some patients to be sent old letters that had already been issued previously. These may relate to past appointments, test results, or earlier communications.

Gnosall Resident may have received one of these letters.

The trust has apologised for any worry or confusion the unexpected correspondence may have caused.

Not sure about a letter you've received?

If you're unsure whether a letter applies to you, or simply want some reassurance, you can contact UHNM's Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS), which offers free, confidential advice and support to patients, families and carers.

UHNM says it is working to make sure the issue does not happen again.
