If you've ever considered a career in policing, Staffordshire Police is currently recruiting for its Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) programme. You'll earn a salary while studying towards a degree, gaining hands-on experience from day one. Starting salary is £32,256.
What is the PCDA?
The apprenticeship lets you qualify as a police constable while working and studying at the same time. Courses are due to run on various dates throughout 2027, and you'll be told which intake you're joining after successfully completing the selection process.
Key dates
- Applications close: 12 noon, 11 September 2026
- Online Assessment Centre: 2-9 July, 20-27 August, 24 September-1 October, and 22-29 October 2026
- Face-to-face interviews: weeks commencing 12 October, 9 November, and 7 December 2026
