When most people think of the Royal British Legion, they picture the annual Poppy Appeal. But behind the familiar red poppy is a year-round charity that provides lifelong support to serving and former members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families.
Here in Gnosall, the local branch is looking to welcome new members, and you don't need to have served in the Armed Forces to join.
Whether you're passionate about supporting veterans, preserving our local history, helping with community events or simply meeting like-minded people, there's a place for you.
Everyone is Welcome
Membership is open to men and women of all ages, from every walk of life.
Many members have military backgrounds, but many others simply believe in supporting those who have served our country. If you share those values, we'd love to meet you.
By becoming a member, you'll help ensure that:
- The stories and sacrifices of those who served are never forgotten.
- Veterans and serving personnel continue to have a strong voice.
- Local remembrance events continue for future generations.
- Practical support remains available for members of the Armed Forces community and their families.
More Than Remembrance
The Gnosall & District Branch is an active and welcoming local group that meets regularly throughout the year.
Members have opportunities to:
- Meet new people and become part of a friendly local organisation.
- Support community fundraising activities.
- Help organise local remembrance events.
- Learn more about military history and the work of the Royal British Legion.
- Play a small but meaningful part in supporting one of the UK's leading Armed Forces charities.
Whether you can volunteer regularly or simply wish to become a member and lend your support, every member strengthens the branch.
